About the Event

Accompanied by original music, Marie Curie tells the story of her remarkable life, in this new production by KAST Art Association.

Marie Curie was a brilliant scientist, but also an amazing educator and loving mother. She believed in social engagement and dedicated her life's work to the benefit of humanity, at her own life's expense. While raising two wonderful daughters, she discovered radioactivity and initiated radiotherapy treatments for cancer. She was the first woman to win the Nobel prize, the first person and only woman to win it twice, and the only person to win it in two sciences (Physics and Chemistry). In a time when gender balance and women's careers in STEM are at the centre of public attention, Marie Curie is a timeless role model, her life is an absolute example of perseverance and belief in social responsibility. She was, for lack of better words, just humbly incredible!

Marie Curie will be visiting Hampstead, London, to tell her life's story, accompanied by original music.

This event is in aid of (and supported by) the Marie Curie Foundation.

Part of the ticket sales will be donated to this Charity.
