About the Event
Rosslyn Hill Chapel is hosting an art exhibition with artworks sold by silent auction. Proceeds will go to Chalk Farm Food Bank. Local artist and Chapel member Heidi Ferid will present her work inspired by the natural world on Friday 20 October 6pm to 8pm and Saturday 21 October 12 to 4pm. Heidi says: "With this group of paintings I want to celebrate the earth and express my concern for the environment. My recent work is based on a combination of observation and imagination. I use vivid colours to communicate emotions and ideas.My journeys to California and Andalusia have been a source of inspiration to me."
About the Artist: Heidi Ferid is a London based painter and sculptor, her recent work consists of an imaginative approach to landscape using vivid colours. She also focuses on issues of climate change inspired by a trip to California. Her body of work mostly consists of acrylic on canvas, some works on paper and small scale ceramic sculptures featuring natural sceneries and mountain landscapes. Viewers are captured by her use of intense colours. Her work is appealing both to emotion and intelligence.
