About the Event
The Brahmo Samaj Maghotsava is the annual festival of the Brahmo Samaj, commemorating the founding of the first Brahmo congregation by Raja Rammohun Roy in January 1830 and the consecration of the original Brahmo Sabha prayer hall.
Celebrated each year in the month of Magh (January–February), it marks a renewal of the Samaj’s core principles: monotheism, rational spirituality, social reform, and the rejection of caste and ritualism.
The festival typically includes devotional music, readings from the Brahmo scriptures, discussions on ethical living, and community gatherings that honour the movement’s legacy of progressive, inclusive faith.
All are welcome to attend - please RSVP for catering purposes!
