About the Event
On the eve of the saddest day of the year, we offer a protective potion – sing and meditate with Stephan Hein (vocals, Indian harmonium, piano) and Gökhan Demirdögmez (Turkish clarinet), introduced by Rev Kate Dean.
Come and join our community singing with soothing strains for body, mind and soul. In a fusion of sounds from East and West, we will go on a journey into the ancient wisdom of mantras from India and beyond, bringing to us joy and inner peace. The sanskrit word “mantra” means to transport and purify the mind - by focusing our attention on nurturing and balancing qualities of sound vibrations. Utilising our singing voice in shared community, we lift our spirits and connect to the shining core of our Heart where love, compassion, bliss and beauty reside. No prior knowledge of singing, mantras or Yoga is needed to participate. All are welcome!
This event will be livestreamed. If you're not able to join us in the Chapel, please watch via our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/RosslynHillUnitarianChapel
