Morning Service: Talking about the difficult stuff - guest speaker Chris Proctor

Many subjects - like the Middle East - are so emotive that we avoid talking about them. When we try to discuss the issues we are often faced with hostility and even anger. The easy way out is to say nothing. Unitarians do not seek the easy way. We need to find ways of talking about important matters. We need to learn to listen and understand the motivations of all sides; we need to examine and assess all the arguments within ourselves: and then we need to develop ways to express our views in an open, rational and fruitful way.
