About the Event
Many subjects - like the Middle East - are so emotive that we avoid talking about them. When we try to discuss the issues we are often faced with hostility and even anger. The easy way out is to say nothing. Unitarians do not seek the easy way. We need to find ways of talking about important matters. We need to learn to listen and understand the motivations of all sides; we need to examine and assess all the arguments within ourselves: and then we need to develop ways to express our views in an open, rational and fruitful way. See below for details of our children's programme, Bright Lights.
About Chris: Chris worked as a journalist and a press officer for many years, sometimes trying to relate the truth as he understood it and sometimes acting as an advocate for ideas or groups.

Sunrise Paintings: Today we are creating beautiful sunrise paintings using watercolors to symbolise new beginnings and fresh starts, or renewal. We will discuss how each day brings a new opportunity for new beginnings!
